Hands Off Maine is a grassroots effort led by local Mainers who care deeply about our communities and the people who call this state home. We are neighbors, workers, veterans, and friends who believe Maine is strongest when everyone is treated with dignity and respect.

We come together out of love for Maine—and concern for actions that threaten the safety, rights, and well-being of our friends and neighbors. Hands Off Maine stands up for all people in Maine, regardless of immigration status, race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or background.

Hands Off Maine is committed to nonviolent action. We believe that meaningful change comes from solidarity, visibility, and care for one another—not from harm or intimidation. We expect all participants and supporters to act peacefully, to de-escalate conflict whenever possible, and to engage with others in ways that reflect our shared values of respect and community care.

This movement is about showing up for Maine, together.
